Plugins that You Must Have as a WordPress User

mei19It was common that the plugin is one of the soul of the WordPress CMS. WordPress plugins make your site become more powefull in terms of functionality. WordPress plugin is an additional program that can be integrated with WordPress to provide other functions that are not available in the standard installation.

Well here is a list of plugins that must be installed for the new blog even old blog that want enhanced the abilities.



  1. Akismet – This plugin will help to filter out the comments from spammers. Usually already installed on wordpress default.



  1. WordPress SEO by Yoast– It used to be the mainstay of my SEO plugin is a AIO or All in One SEO Pack, but due to some advantages of WordPress SEO, then I had to be moved from the AIO plugin. Later in the article I will discuss specifically how the advantages and wordpress SEO settings.
  2. SEO SearchTerms Tagging 2 – Plugin that is created by Indonesian (Purwedi Kurniawan)



  1. Feedburner Feedsmith– Helping people to subscribe to your blog posts via email
  2. W3 Total Cache– Loading a website is the most important for visitors to enjoy and read the blog, as well as with google that give a high enough value to blogs which have load fast. This plugin helps speed up the loading time of the blog.
  3. jQuery lazy load– Speeding up the blog load that is dominated by images.
  4. ShareThis– Helping visitors to share blog posts and help to get more visitors.
  5. Contact Form 7– Create a contact form easier.
  6. Dagon Design Sitemap Generator – Plugin that works to help create a sitemap / blog content that can be read by visitors.

Back End Maintenance


  1. WP-DB Backup– Plugin to make it easier to back up your wordpress database.
  2. Broken Link Checker– Google does not like a broken links or outbound links that point to pages that are damaged or do not even exist. Not a few broken links are in the comments field. This plugin will let you know if there is a broken link.
  3. Yet Another Related Posts(YARPP) – Displays links to other related posts of article that is being read.

Robot Crawler


  1. Google XML Sitemaps-plugin which enables you to create a sitemap of your blog automatically for easy search engine robots to crawl and index the pages of your blog. (more intended for search engines because of format. xml)
  2. SEO Slugs– Automatically delete Permalink conjunctions on your links to improve SEO.
  3. Cbnet Ping Optimizer– Helps your blog to be not detected as a spammer ping.

Besides the free plugins above actually there are some plugins that I use, unfortunately the plugins are premium and paid ones. Later in the next article, we will discusse specific about the paid plugins.
